Every different type of fixture within your bathroom has different quirks when it comes to replacing bathroom faucet fixtures. The most difficult type of bathroom faucet fixtures are generally shower faucets because removing the knobs is the only really easy part. Behind where the shower is, the fixture is connected in the wall to the water pipes and this is where things really begin to get tricky.  

If the feed pipes for the water are made from copper, then you should not find much difficulty detaching them from the faucet fittings. However, sometimes these copper fittings have become rusty and old, and they may give you trouble when you attempt to unscrew them. You need to take care to avoid this because you can cause damage to the piping if it takes too much effort for this removal.
